UK scientists have conducted an analysis on the impact of climate change on the risk of wildfires happening all over the world. The results are concerning: longer and more intense bushfires are to be expected as the weather becomes hotter and dryer.
To cope with this developing scenario, governments and people living close to risk areas should prepare to the conditions that will become more likely in the future – firebreaks and emergency evacuation plans and exercises are only two examples cited.
