The management of waste water is an important task of large cities. In Warsaw, Poland, a waste water treatment plant called "Czajka" was erected on the right river bank of the Vistula River. Before, 30 % of effluents were flowing directly into the Vistula. After its completion, Czajka shall treat 80 % of the Polish capital's effluents and furthermore make sure that no more untreated sewage will harm the flora and fauna of the Vistula. As part of the plan, a collector leading to the plant needed to be constructed.
