The contract for inge GmbH’s largest order to date was signed at the end of November. The ultrafiltration system is used to pretreat the seawater before entering the desalination stage. In total, more than 7,000 ultrafiltration modules, each with 80 m2 membrane area will provide a treatment capacity of 760,000 m3/d. The desalination plant produces 318,500 m3/d of drinking water from it. The UF system is optimized for seawater with a corrosion resistance of class C5.
TUAS South is one of Asia’s largest seawater desalination plants for drinking water production and has been in operation since September 2013. The end user has had positive experiences with inge® in the past. Singapore’s TUAS 3 desalination plant already boasts outstanding membrane performance thanks to inge®’s products. This prompted the Singapore based total water solution provider Memiontec to choose inge® on this occasion as well, with the approval of the end user.
